Sasquatch: The Apes Among Us -- by John Green. Originally published in 1978, this is still the landmark book on this subject, and a must read for anyone interested in bigfoot. Mr. Green delves into the history of bigfoot sightings, chronicles his participation is the expeditions financed by Tom Slick and demonstrates that bigfoot is a nationwide phenomena. Available on Amazon and directly from Hancock House Publishers.

Mr. Green's’s earlier books focused on bigfoot reports in the Pacific Northwest area, but are still great reading. On the Track of the Sasquatch, Year of the Sasquatch, The Sasquatch File, and Encounters with Bigfoot are all out of print as individual titles. Copies can sometimes be found on Amazon.

The Best of Sasquatch Bigfoot is Mr. Green’s final book and is worth the price of admission for his refutation of the “Bigfoot died with Ray Wallace” nonsense. On the Track of the Sasquatch and Encounters with Bigfoot are reprinted in this book. Available on Amazon and directly from Hancock House Publishers.

Bigfoot/Sasquatch Evidence -- by Grover Krantz. Anthropologist Grover Krantz was one of the first scientists to research Bigfoot. A scientific, yet very readable, inquiry into the matter. Still in print and available on Amazon.

North America's Great Ape: The Sasquatch -- by John Bindernagel, Canadian wildlife biologist. Dr. Bindernagel establishes that reported sasquatch behavior is very similar to that of the known great apes. An easy, yet fascinating read. Currently out of print; copies can be found on Amazon.

The Discovery of the Sasquatch -- by John Bindernagel. A fascinating look at why the perception of Bigfoot as a cultural phenomenon persists and why the great majority of scientists have adopted this perception as their hypothesis, yet have never tested this hypothesis. Available on Amazon.

Sasquatch: Legend Meets Science -- by Jeff Meldrum. Based upon the documentary of the same title, but containing much more information. Dr. Meldrum reviews the long history of Bigfoot and presents the scientific pros and cons in a clear and accessible manner. Available on Amazon.

Bigfoot! The True Story of Apes in America -- by Loren Coleman. The first book I’ve ever read by this noted cryptozoologist. Engaging and well written.

Bigfoot: The Yeti and the Sasquatch in Myth and Reality -- by John Russell Napier, former Curator for Primates at the Smithsonian Institute. Now out of print. Copies are available on Amazon.

Videos

The Mysterious Monsters -- Hosted by Peter Graves, this 1970s documentary examines bigfoot, the yeti and the Loch Ness Monster. Available on Amazon.

The Legend of Boggy Creek -- The 1972 theatrical film based on events that took place in Fouke, Arkansas. Available on Amazon.

Ancient Mysteries: Bigfoot -- Narrated by Leonard Nimoy, this is the Bigfoot episode of the Ancient Mysteries show that aired on the A&E Channel in the 1990s. It presents both the pro and con sides of the debate over bigfoot/sasquatch. The video includes a very interesting interview with the late Dr. Grover Krantz, and also has the full footage of the Patterson-Gimlin Film. Can sometimes be found on Amazon.

Sasquatch: Legend Meets Science -- Groundbreaking documentary which aired on the Discovery Channel in 2003. For the first time, a panel of scientists from a range of specialties examine the bigfoot/sasquatch phenomenon. A MUST SEE! I don’t why it doesn’t air in repeats every week. But I have never seen it on TV since its original airing. But it is available on DVD from Amazon.
